The longer the bean is roasted, the more the caffeine gets cooked away. 1 kilogram of roasted coffee requires 4,000 - 5,000 coffee beans. 4.A cup of drip-brewed coffee has 115 mg of caffeine, an espresso has about 80 mg, instant coffee has about 65 mg, and decaffeinated coffee has about 3 mg. 5.Coffee berries start as green berries in early stage of growth, turns yellow, red, then dark crimson when it is finally ripe and yields the best coffee.
